History

In 1998, the Pulaski Roo’s were formed by J.J. Rose, Travis Frank, and Francis Brunette. We are honored to say that our team has had enormous success. The Roo's have placed in the top seven in state eight times in our short tenor in the State Rugby League. There are 76 teams in this state league. The last 2 years has been our best so far. We placed second in 2007 losing to Whitefish Bay. We made it back to the finals in 2008 only to lose a very close game to Nicolet High school, 14-13, in the closing seconds of the match.

Since 1998, we have had 42 players take rugby to the territorial level by playing for team Wisconsin. Out of the 42 players we have had seven make it to the tryouts for our country team. Out of those seven players we have five that have represented our country, or that are representing our country. The former players are Cole Coopman, Chris Smith and the late Greg Smith. Currently representing us on team USA are Charles Koehler and Max Noeldner.

Each year Pulaski Roo Rugby matures and grows as an organization. Our dedication is to the players, fans and community! We strive to bring out the best in each player we have and teach them rugby for on the field and life long lessons off the field.

This year, 2009 the team is coached by Francis Brunette and JJ Rose. Former players have returned to help assist the coaches in their efforts to bring the kids to a state championship! It's always nice and welcomed for former players to return.
